WHAT IS BICHECTOMY?

In general, it is the process of removing approximately 40 percent of the fat by making an incision of approximately 1 cm from the inside of the mouth during the surgery. Bichectomy is popularly referred to by many names such as Hollywood cheek, Hollywood jaw, cheek melting, cheek thinning, face weakening, cheek removal, cheek thinning, non-surgical cheek thinning, face reduction, facial fat melting, cheek oil removal, cheek reduction, cheek aesthetics and cheek fat removal.

WHAT ARE THE TECHNIQUES USED IN THE BICHECTOMY PROCESS?

The procedure takes place by removing the fat pads between the chewing muscles. During the surgery, an incision of about 1 cm is made through the mouth, and about 40 percent of the fat is removed. The small stitches left in the mouth fall off on their own over time.

RECOVERY PROCESS AFTER BICHECTOMY

Short-term antibiotic use, oral care and mouthwash are applied in the post-bichectomy process. Another thing to pay attention to is fluid consumption for 1-2 days. After the third day, the consumption of soft tissue foods such as puree can be started. After 1 week, the patient starts to eat normally.

After bichectomy surgery, there may be swelling on the cheeks. This takes about 2-3 weeks to set in. From the first month, the final result is reached. The procedure does not prevent the patient from speaking. The patient can do his work or daily activities from the day of surgery.
