ENDOSCOPIC FACE LIFT
WHAT IS ENDOSCOPIC FACE LIFT?
Endoscopic face lift operation consists of the sum of forehead and mid face lift operations.
This surgery has been designed for patients who are young for facial rejuvenation surgeries and have mild facial relaxation and deformity.
WHAT ARE THE TECHNIQUES USED IN ENDOSCOPIC FACE LIFT SURGERY?
In endoscopic facelift surgery, an incision of 2-3 cm is made in the scalp in the temple area, and another incision is made on the outer edge of the lower eyelid or on the inner surface of the lid. With the help of a special surgical camera and other special surgical instruments, the forehead, temple and midface areas are mobilized through these incisions. These tissues, which are then mobilized, are placed on the hard and strong outer membrane of the chewing muscle in the temple area.
In the endoscopic approach, a supportive incision is not made from the facial skin and inside the mouth, the lower eyelid is not opened, surgical dissection is not performed under the skin, and the skin is not removed. In practice, the superficial muscle and connective tissue layer, which we call SMAS, is also not treated. Therefore, endoscopic facelift surgery is almost ineffective on the skin and SMAS layer. For this reason, endoscopic facelift surgery is an effective treatment method in very early form disorders where the skin and subcutaneous tissues are not aging yet, and there is no significant excess skin and muscle laxity in the lower eyelid.
IN WHICH SITUATIONS CAN YOU HAVE ENDOSCOPIC FACE LIFT SURGERY?
The ideal patient group for endoscopic facelift is female individuals in their 30s, who are in the very early stages of facial aging, have very mild facial deformities, and are psychologically stable.
POST-PROCEDURE RECOVERY PROCESS
After the surgery, our patients stay in the hospital one day and are discharged the next day. The recovery period is an average of 1 week. During this period, the swelling decreases, and the bruises, if any, are corrected. There may be slant around the eyes for up to a month, which will soon improve. The stitches on the scalp are removed after 10 days, and the stitches in the mouth dissolve on their own. Full recovery takes 6-8 months. In this process, you should definitely use sunscreen and stay away from the solarium.
ENDOSCOPIC MID-FACE REJUVENATION SURGERY IS COMBINED WITH WHICH OTHER AESTHETIC OPERATIONS?
Some patients may also experience sagging and wrinkles under the chin and in the neck area. In such cases, these areas can be stretched with the endoscopic surgery technique. In addition to these areas, patients with weak cheek areas are filled with fat injection to fill the mid face area. A holistic facial rejuvenation can be achieved by adding lower and upper eyelid aesthetics to endoscopic mid face rejuvenation surgery.
HOW IS ENDOSCOPIC MID-FACE REJUVENATION PERFORMED?
Mid-face rejuvenation surgery is performed under general anesthesia. This operation takes about 2 hours. If you want to add eyebrow lifting to this surgery, the time may be a little longer. With small incisions made on the scalp and mouth, the cheek tissue is liberated under endoscopic cameras. The freed cheek tissue is hung by stretching to the level it should be aesthetically. Thus, the wrinkled appearance around the mouth is smoothed, and the ringing under the eyes is eliminated.
