LIPOSUCTION

WHAT IS LIPOSUCTION?

Lipoidosis occurs mostly around the belly in men and in the waist and hip areas in women. Liposuction (fat transfer) removes subcutaneous fat that does not respond to diet and exercise efforts. The procedure is mostly performed under general anesthesia. In this application, which is made by making small incisions, the fats are vacuumed through cannulas. The duration of the operation varies according to the area to be operated. Depending on the post-operative procedure, the patient is discharged on the same day or rests in the hospital for 1 night.

Liposuction is a popular procedure that shapes, refines, slims and shapes the areas of the body that have excess fat.

Since the amount of fat removed during the surgery is relatively small, it is not a weight-loss tool. However, there is a serious difference in body aesthetics after the procedure.

WHAT ARE THE TECHNIQUES USED IN LIPOSUCTION SURGERY?

Three different methods are applied for liposuction surgery. The first of these methods is the classical method called the wet technique (tumescent technique). Other technological methods developed to achieve more aesthetic results are called "Ultrasonic Liposuction" and "Laser Liposuction".

RECOVERY PROCESS

After the liposuction operation, there may be pain, swelling, and bruising in the treated area, but these complaints will decrease over time. After the operation, you should allow your body to rest and avoid strenuous movements that may cause complications. Short walks promote circulation and contribute to the recovery. In order to reach the result more quickly, you can use compression clothing for about a month after the procedure.

The liposuction surgery applied for men and women is the same, only the application areas differ.

Liposuction surgery is generally not a painful operation. You can get up in 3-4 days and you can easily overcome the pain that you will feel lightly with drugs.

You can usually return to work at the end of two weeks after liposuction. Your doctor will check your recovery 2 weeks after the operation and let you know whether you can start work.
